PICTURE OF ME.jpg

I am an angel,

a dragon,

a human,

a tree.

A child of the Appalachian Mountains, Amanda is a Liriodendress, a human embodiment of the Tulip Poplar tree. â€‹

Having received her B.A. in English Literature from Campbell University, Amanda studied with Teresa Boardwine at the Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine and is a particular student of renowned author and herbalist, Matthew Wood.

teacher and contributing voice at the Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism, Amanda is the Executive Director of LYRA and founder of Liriodendress Press. She is the human voice of the Whispers: Plant Spirit Medicine podcast and the creator and curator of Entosophy, a dynamic collection of philosophical interviews with trees. Her book, The Story of the First Tulip Poplar Tree, reveals the mythical beginnings of one of Appalachia's most beloved trees.

Devoted to creating a beautiful body of work infused with the heart and medicine of the Tulip Poplar tree, Amanda writes and sings while caring for her children under Tulip Poplar's golden leaves.

Amanda is available to teach, speak, and sing as the human voice of the Tulip Poplar tree.
